Just finished installing a zone lift today.

When I took it out around the block i had a few issues.

First the steering wheel is off center by about 30 degrees. Any idea how to center it?

Next the Traction Control light keeps clicking on and applying brakes. Could this be because of the steering wheel not centered? If not any idea what it could be?

It looks great though!!

I would assume you just need it aligned at a shop. I had same issue with level and bigger tires. Your truck looks sick! I'm guessing blue streak?

It's off center because you need an alignment baddddd they will fix that issue, as for the TC light, maybe you forgot to plug back in the ABS sensor or it's not plugged in all the way, double check it.

What he said ^^. After any change to front suspension components you need to get an alignment. They will recenter your steering wheel when doing it.

As far as the TC light, did you install the wheel speed sensors properly when you installed the new steering knuckels? Also check all the connections as stated above.

Is there a specific way they go in? I just put them back in the hole they came out of.

Alignment is scheduled for 7am monday.

I will look over all the connections again in the morning after 6 hours last night and about 8 today I am exhausted.

If I turn ESC off would it override the auto braking on my way to the tire shop?

If the abs is kicking in then it is getting the signal, then losing it. It interprets that as a wheel sliding and that's when you get false activation. In all likelihood you've allowed a caliper to dangle from the abs wire or inadvertently pulled on it and damaged a wire. You'll need to monitor sensor readings on a scan tool to determine on which corner you have a fault then diagnose further from there.

As for overriding it, the tcs on some vehicles will disable the abs, but I'm not sure if it does on our trucks. You'll have to just try and see. Then figure out where your broken wire is.

I wish I had time to stay and help you finish it. Mine did the same thing and it was in fact only because the steering was off so the truck thought you were turning and going too fast. alignment fixed mine right away. Also, if you hear a slight pop when you hit bumps, check the sway bar. Had to tighten mine twice to get rid of that sound. Truck looks amazing, no rake just like you wanted.

Oh, and if you want to do a fast and easy way of aligning it so it's a little safer to the dealership;

Undo the tie rod ends, center the steering wheel, and then reattach them to the length that they would be at. Still would need an adjustment, but should stop activating the TCS.

That's what I was thinking as well. I will do that today just to center the wheel before I take it in. It did go back together much quicker than it came apart. Only issue I ran into was I got some bad info from the salesman when I bought the wheels bc he explained to me that 5.5 offset is actually more than 4.5 so I had some wheel rub on the tie rods. A small spacer took care of it until I can get them on the phone tomorrow and get a Perminant fix.

Centering the steering wheel worked. Esc is no longer kicking in. I have a permanant esc light on tho . How do I turn it off? This is different than the light that comes on when u push esc off. Same image just different location and permanant. It is not throwing any codes.

So the one located between the 4k & 5k tach is telling you there is a problem with the system. The one located between 5k and 6k tach is for the button. If it's the one slightly up and left of the button light, then that means your truck is pulling a code which could be related to it thinking you were drifting. You can reset it by removing the battery cable for 10+ seconds or by cycling the engine on and off a few times.

My light was on until I got an alignment, the sensors seem to be very sensitive
