What do you guys like better 6 inch with 35's or 6 inch a 1.25 body lift and 37's. I can't seem to make my mind up on what I want so just tell me what you think of both

I'd go 6" and 37's! You can always add the body lift later If you want

Some kits will allow 37's with just the 6in. I know for sure that RCX and BDS can support 37in tires with no rubbing off the suspension kit alone.

That completely depends on what wheels you want to put on the truck. A 6" kit alone will never clear 37's on a 12" wide wheel. Most won't even clear them on a 10" wide wheel.

OP, what's your plan wheel wise? Are you looking for a wider stance or something more narrow/tucked?

Op, I've been searching threads about this too. Has anyone out there done a 4" RCX / Superlift and set bilstens at 2.1" and run 37x12.50r20 tires on stock 20x8" wheels w/1.5" spacers?

Minor trimming of the inner fender liner isn't a big deal. I'm not going for the whole 'stuffed" look. But, also not a fan of 10"+ of tire clearance. I'm liking the look of 6-7" of tire clearance.

I know the Mopar underground did a build with 4" lift & 37s, but can't seem to find too much info on what mods they needed to do.

I'm looking at 20x9" wheels with +1 offset (about 5" backspacing) with a 12.5" wide tire.

Anyone have some input on fitting 37x12.50 wildpeaks or nittos with a 4" lift?

my BDS kit clears 37x12.5 on a 20x9 procomp rim with a 1.5 spacer no rubbing. so yeah that's not accurate at all, and your "never" comment is invalid. Right off the BDS site. Also if you need further picture proof I'm willing to supply.

Tire & Wheel Combinations
37" x 13.50" w/17 x 9 and 4-1/2" back spacing
37" x 13.50" w/18 or 20 x 9 and 5" back spacing
2012 Dodge / Ram Ram 1/2 Ton Pickup 1500 6" lift kit 663H | BDS Suspension
on the 13-15 it's 12.5 instead of 13.5

On that lift setup you'll be trimming for 37's for sure but it can be done. I know a guy on another forum that's running a very similar suspension setup to that and 37's on a 17x9's I believe.
The 20x9 +1 offset is definitely your best bet to fit them under there.

Your rim is still only 9" wide and you haven't stated what the offset of it actually is. So your comment is invalid. My comment regarding a 12" wide wheel is not invalid at all; it simply won't fit on a 6" lift without rubbing.

Your information from BDS's website doesn't prove anything either... both are for 9" wide wheels. Read my post... I said 12" and 10" wide. There's so much more to lift/wheel/tire combinations than just the overall lift height and tire diameter. You can't base anything off just one piece of information. You need details on the full setup to determine whether or not it will work.

I have a 4 inch rcx I got for 600 new in box so I couldn't pass it up but I'll be setting my bilstins at 2.1 and getting a 1.5 rear spacer so I'll be taking up 2.1 inches of rake so it'll be perfectly level. With that said I'll be going with a 20x10 with -12 offset. I'm still undecided if I want nitto mud grapplers or trail grapplers or toyo open country r/t. I love the look of the mud grappler but I won't be going off road much. And I think 6 inch with 37's looks kinda stuffed and I love the looks of jake09's truck. And he has the same setup but with a superlift.

Thanks Brandon.

I'm back & forth between 20x9 w/ +1 offset (5.0" bs) or 20x10 w/ -18 offset (4.75" bs). I'm thinking the 4.75" bs will help clear the suspension parts but I'm wondering if it will mean more trimming into the back of the front facia/bumper cover (I have an express). But I'm really leaning towards 37s. Go big or go home right? I loved 37s on 17x9s on my jeep, but want to run 20" wheels because the truck is a little heavier and the center of gravity is higher so I don't want it to feel to squishy in the turns.

Do you have the other guys user name and what forum he's on? I'd love to see his build thread and pick his brain.

The 20x10 -18 offset will DEFINITELY give you issues with rubbing on the back of the inner fender and the front bumper as the tire will have a larger radius that it swings through when turning. The 20x9 +1 offset will give you enough clearance on the suspension side of things.

I'll send you a PM regarding the guys setup.

I'd go with the 6" BDS or Zone kit with the 5" rear spring option (be sure to get the upgraded rear shocks for a mere $10), and then level it with a set of Bilstiens set at 1.4 or 2.1 . . . You can always add the 1.25" body lift if you need it . . . Most 37's are 13.50" wide and like being on a 10" wide wheel rather than 9" . . . 4.75" backspacing is perfect . . . Just one other thought regarding the 37's . . . What gears do you have ? . . . Better be 3.92's, or you can forget about it . . . 3.55's would be miserable with 37's . . . Good luck
