Lift questions

Hey everyone, I have been wanting to lift my truck ever since I bought it. Well that has been some time ago and I need to start saying it and just do it! But with that I had some questions regarding lifts. I have heard from people that lifted trucks are money pits, meaning replacing suspension parts is a common thing regarding if you off road or not. I am not sure if this is true or not but I am curious. So if you guys can list some Pro's and Con's of lifts I would appreicate that a lot. Another question is, I am looking at atleast doing a leveling kit. I know there isn't much out there for my 02 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab 2wd, but I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on a brand to go with? Any help I appreicate!

I went with the rough country 6 inch lift for my 2wd and it's a standard cab though. I love it. Very easy to install in your own garage it gives you step by step instructions. ..

And about money pits... dodge suspension parts about re known to go anyway. The reason I lifted my truck is because I had to replace my whole suspension I may as well put it in while it's already taken apart. Killed two bird with one stone there.

I've had it on for almost a year now and had no problems. Granted I don't go off roading often, but when I do it performs very well offroad just as well as it does on road.
