Extended brake lines since your an 06 maxtrax is a brand I've seen a lot of people go with since they have a spacer built in and they sell the brake lines

I did the 3" spindle and 1.5" spacer up front with 2" blocks in the rear and I just swapped the left and right front brake lines to give me the clearance I needed.

Maxtrac 4.5" with stock wheels 35" tires

Got a lot of good info off this thread. Not a ton of info on the Maxtrac lifts. Here is my set up. 2012 Ram Big Horn with Maxtrac 4.5" front and 3" Rear. It has stock wheels and 35" Toyo Open Country AT2 and Bilstein shocks.

I forgot all about this thread I was asked to report back on the lionhart tires.
Absolutely love them would buy them again. I've climbed out of ditches with one rear tire of the ground, never hydroplaned unless done on purpose, and they handle ice very well.
They're not loud compared to other MTs I hear a lot. Never put the truck in a situation I've been concerned I can't get out with them, as well as driven over stumps, rocks and plenty of other items that could puncture a regular tire but it's taken the abuse like a champ.

Ill put mine up, tho I'm working on getting all the parts together to pull the lift and put in a 2/4 drop.

As it sits, 3in roughcountry kit + 3in lift spindles. sitting on 35x12.5r17 Procomp ATs (

Thinking about a 2wd lift for my 2002 ram 1500. Not sure if cst or max Trac are in my future I know I want to upgrade the shocks past the Monroe ones I already have on

Awesome trucks. 2wd needs love too.

2004 Ram 1500 2WD 5.7L 6" Fabtech (lift installed 2005) 4.11 Auburn limited slip. 35's on 17's. K&N intake, Superchip 3815 Flashpaq.
Front end rebuild summer 2020. (Moog: UCAs w/bj, lower bj, outer tie rods, sway bar end links. Fabtech performance shocks and Powerstop Z36 brakes all 4 corners. Napa hubs. eBay headlights w/amber delete)

Next: Rack and pinion, currently on number 2. What are you guys doing for the extreme steering angles? I'd love to solve this problem permanently.

I kind of miss my red ram, probably what pushed me into getting my new one. Trucks all look good, I’m always in here lurking.

Our 2003 Ram SLT with Maxtrac 4.5" spindles in the front and 2" blocks in the rear.
It had Pro Comp ES9000 shocks and 285/70R17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 on Vision steel wheels.

Loved this truck, despite it being a 4.7L 2WD.

We bought it in almost factory condition, unseen in 2011, online, paid via phone, while in a foreign country. It was delivered to us to the airport and we had it for approx 7 years & 50K miles and the only issues we had was heater core and radiator.

It still runs and the current owner uses it every now and then to tow a horse trailer.
