Probably more combustion chamber noise you're hearing now instead of injector tick,as you'll hear the same ticking/tinging noises when you put a set of headers on a carb equipped engine.Wrapping them would of made a differanceI’m kinda of frustrated that I’ve replaced one tick with another…
Lifter tick for loud injector tick through tubular headers
I have the v6 fan swap.Just do the V6 Efan swap you wont hear the injectors... lol... Modern problems require modern solutions
You did shorties didn't you? If so they're famous for leaking at the ball socket joint. There's a post on here where somebody used a modified if i remember right Mahle gasket to seal up that joint with their shorties,it's a fairly recent post,so shouldn't be to hard to findI have the v6 fan swap.
This is way louder than that.
I’ve been around the exhaust collectors twice to look for leakage, but honestly I think I still have one.
I was really shocked to see there’s no flex pipe or gasket!!
Awesome I’ll have to try those.Found the thread.
I've had my ceramic coated Ebay Powergo shorties with remflex gaskets on for a few thousand miles and they have increased the engine noise considerably more than the stock manifolds. I have verified no easy to find leaks on the collector side but they fit much deeper inside the stock collector...www.ramforum.com
I’m almost certain I have a leak. Will post when I get it sorted and what I do to fix.Can you post a short video or recording of the injector ticking? I've always wanted to do headers but now you have me worried lol.
