Not disable mds to disable mds, disable mds so you can run 5w30 oil, and a top tier one. Might not help but you will have the best film strength possible. It may be something that requires a mechanic, but if it was me I would at least try.

I'll take it to the dealer first and see what they say. If not I'll order from Redline 5w30 and try that when I hit 5k on the current oil.

Great idea, if by chance your engine gives after this, change the oil back to any 5w20 before taking it in. Also, start documenting your dealer visits, definitely get a keep a receipt, make them give you one. I know what a bummer this is, I don't think I would buy another hemi if I had to do it all over again. Cummins or bust.

Well the trans also tihs the bed at 10k miles, now I'm dealing with this at 21k. I'm afraid to know what 30k will bring me. LOL Maybe another 01-03 F250 7.3l

Same issue here. When she starts up she sounds like a lawn mower for about a minute. After that its all good. Searched every forum about it and went to the dealer and told them what it was.

Just picked it up from the dealer and they had found 12 broken bolts on the exhaust manifolds on passenger and driver side!!

Parts are on back order but its booked in to get fixed under warranty (thank god).

They are replacing all bolts on manifold / gaskets / manifolds (they were warped from heat expansion)

Finally got around to getting my tapping fixed. "4" broken exhaust manifold bolts. 2 on each side. #2 and #8 cylinders. Service manager wasn't very encouraging when he told me some people had brought theirs back for broken replacement bolts to be replaced again!
