Out of curiosity, did they have to pull the engine to do the cam swap?Is this a lifter tap/tick? Or is it a normal sound for the engine. I just had them all replaced along with camshaft. This sound only occurs after driving for about 20-30 mins.

Lifter tick? Or Nawh?

My daughter had the lifter tick and various codes thrown, running rough, terrible gas mileage, failure of cylinder 3.
The shop said they had to pull the engine to swap the cam. Years ago, when things were much simpler, you could just remove everything in front of the engine and replace the cam with the engine still in place.
I should have drove up to the shop to confirm the engine was indeed out. One of those times I kick myself for being lazy!
