That’s what he said, but your dealer said 4” kit was fine so that’s conflicting.

Think the dealer would do it because they get the money. But Mopar PERFORMANCE parts aren’t covered under the lifetime warranty so maybe it’s a performance lift? Not sure I’ll have to look more in to it tomorrow.

“The plan will not cover:

Lift kits that exceed two (2) inches; repairs to covered components that are the direct result of the failure of a lift kit that exceeds two (2) inches;

So that makes it seem like if you exceed 2” you’re out of lifetime warranty for that and any components that fail due to being more than 2”, but if you stay AT 2” then all repairs are covered... that’s how I take it.....

Also curious if wheel spacers/offsets good anything. Not seeing that.

Then it says this...

Repairs due to any alterations or modifications to the Vehicle not approved or recommended by the manufacturer,
including but not limited to: (a) failure of any custom or add-on / aftermarket part (unless listed as a specific covered part); (b) emissions and/or exhaust systems modifications; engine modifications, transmission modifications, and/or drive axle modifications, which includes any performance modifications; (c) oversized/undersized tires; (d) all frame or suspension modifications;

That last part...........makes it seem like 2” isn’t even acceptable...

Dealer installed my 4" Mopar lift when I bought the truck. Didn't really get a price because it was part of the deal. What I have been told by two dealerships is the lift is only warrantied for 2 years even though I bought an extended warranty. And I put on 35" tires too.

Make sure you read up on the Magnusson Moss Act.

It will help in some instances in regards to aftermarket upgrades and repairs on our trucks. RAM has to prove that a particular aftermarket part may have affected another OEM part (engine, trans, diffs, T-case, etc) in order to deny repairs.

Just called.. they said 2” most that’s allowed. They didn’t mention anything about how big tires could go or if spacers aren’t allowed, said if it’s deemed to have caused damage like you said then the parts won’t be covered. So this seems like gray area for wheels but honestly it’s prob a go.

Had my lift installed for $540 and that included an alignment. Lift and labor was a tick under $1600 total!

I get the warranty concerns but the lifts come with their own warranty and lets be honest, if you’re worried about maintaining your warranty there is nothing you’re going to do abuse wise that will ever break any part of the lift.........

Now on the subject of tire size............these trucks per the new towing standards are rated to tow about 10k lbs depending on configuration and there is no way moving from a 33” tire to a 35” tire is going to strain any component of the truck more than slapping 6-8k pounds on the hitch. Just food for thought.........

These trucks can take some abuse, a little work ain’t gonna hurt ‘em

Dang!!! That's way outta line. In PA, a 4" susp. lift is around $1700, 6" $2000 and $850 to install. That's 10 hrs @$85 per. Sadly our Dodge/Ram dealers are always expensive,so much so that they lose tons of business because of it. My local dealer adds $10,000 to a 1500 with a rough country 4" suspension.lift and 35's on stock rims and puts it out on the lot with a strait face:emotions122:..,,INSANE
If I didnt know you were in PA I would ask if your dealer was **** Hannah (here in Vancouver WA) because thats exactly how they do it- only, they farm it out to a local truck shop who they have 'factory certified' so they can maintain warranty. I could go to the same shop the dealer gets their work done at, and get it done at half the price the dealer charges... same mechanics, using the same parts... and my warranty will be void because I didnt pay the dealer's extortionist rates for the lift.

Think I’ll hold off on the lift right now but seems like finding place to do wheel spacers will be voiding warranty of anything going wrong because of the wheel spacers. Just can’t win

I thought the Maguson-Moss act took care of that. They have to prove your lift was the cause of the failed part
