So.. I have installed a 42" curved light bar on my 17 sport. I wired in a relay and a rocker switch but haven't made any cut into my dash. Id like to find a way to wore into my high beams if possible and then find a spot to place the rocket switch. Is that possible? The light bar is working with no issues right now. Would this mess with the canbus system? Or is there something else I'm missing?

There are several ways to do it and it's best to run a diode in the circuit so you don't back drive the BCM. Here is an example of how I wired mine directly from the high beam output of the BCM (2016 2500). I have a switch to disable having it come on with high beams and another switch to turn the light bat on by itself.
