Alright, I'm looking at installing a 42in light bar in the bumper (no tow hooks) of my 2018 Sport bumper. Can any of you shed some light (no pun) on installs (ie wiring, switches, brackets, etc.) Pictures if you have them!

That sounds great! You possibly have any links to your purchases?I’ve got everything I need, but grad school and a 14 month old have not been conducive to my getting it installed. I just got a wiring harness off eBay. Switch is personal preference and one I like I’ve used before. I also went with a curved 42” bar. The one I got is a black one instead of the normal chrome. Based on what I’ve read, most just use flat stock and mount it to the back of the bumper using two factory bumper bolts and the mounts included with the light bars. That’s my plan. I’ve got the flat stock, just need the time to do it all.

I got the flat stock at Home Depot. I know the switch is high, but I think it looks nice and I know it works well as I had the same one on my Jeep.

Wiring harness is well made but scrap the switch and buy a better one rated for DC voltage. Some are only rated amps/volts A/C. They won't last long in a 12VDC truck. I bought these...It looks nice and fairly well made. But idk if it performs well or not as its currently still sitting on my bedroom floor. Same goes for the wiring harness. Seems well made. Hopefully in another week or so I’ll have enough time to get it all installed.

Thank you for the rubber boot info. Just received mine. Looks like a clean install is on the way.I prefer the rough country black series so it doesn’t stand out so much and make your truck look like it’s smiling lol. They come with the relay harness, switch and everything needed, plug n play

Use this method for bringing the switch into the cab

3" flat stock. Bolted to the bumper bolt and the light mount that came with the light bar
