so I removed my OEM bed and installed a flatbed
I could not find an aftermarket pigtail, disappointing but not a big problem
so OEM wiring
black = Ground
white/blue = running lights
white/green = passenger turn/brake
white = driver turn/brake
white/orange = backup lights

so I cut the OEM connector for the tail lights, backup light, and license plate light

wired it all up, and tested and all the flatbed lights worked

took it all apart one by one, and soldered/heatshrink each connection

running lights are working fine
trailer lights are working fine
flatbed, turn/brake/back up lights are not working (however when I feed 12v power to the flatbed lights they all work so lights themselves are fine)

if just one was not working, I would assume a ground/broken hot wire
but running lights working and all the other three not working, I am thinking fuse, (guessing I inadvertently shorted a wire while reconnecting them)

I replaced F10 & F14
F28,F29, F30, F53 & F81 all show as TRL lights (all those are all working)

so can anyone tell me what fuze to replace. maybe one of F28,F29, F30, F53 & F81 also works on the truck lights.

any help is appreciated, thank you

Do you get any light out warnings?

did not look at the dash, I will check, when I had them hand connected and covered with tape, no warnings.

The vehicle will need to be running for them to show-up. While running they might show up even without activating them.

ok so yes, now it shows left rear bulb and right rear bulb out message
however as I noted I powered the lights directly and they are working, and they were working when I had the wires just tightened and tapped.

then I removed the temporary tape, reattched the wires soldered them and heat shrinked the connection

now no turn/brake/backup

I also know how to use a volt meter, so I turned the truck on, and tested the OEM wire, running lights show 12v, no power to tail/brake/backup
either I broke all three connections (but not the running lights) or there is a fuze/relay issue, I doubt I messed up 3/4 wires.

I am thinking the simpler answer is a fuze/relay

But open to suggestions

never mind, duh I posted the answer and did not see it
power from OEM to female connector all good
power to flatbed wires = power to lights
plug Male flatbed connector into new OEM side female connector only power to running lights
duh the flatbed male connector is bad
putting on a new flatbed male connector and will update,

My next suggestion was going to be to check that running and turn aren't switched but sounds like you got it squared away!

ok interesting it was not the connector, not OEM wiring/fuse/relay, so I am trying to figure it out

If your running lights work but turn/brake/reverse lights don't, check these steps:

1. Fuses: Double-check F10, F14, F28, F29, F30, F53, F62, and F81. Replace questionable fuses.
2. Reset TIPM: Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the module, which might disable outputs after a short.
3. Voltage Test: Use a multimeter to verify voltage at the flatbed wires (White/Green, White, White/Orange). No voltage indicates an upstream issue (fuse, TIPM, or wiring).
4. Ground Check: Ensure the flatbed’s black ground wire is secured to clean, bare metal.
5. Inspect Wiring: Look for shorts or pinched wires near mounting points.
6. Direct Power Test: Feed 12V to the lights to confirm they work independently.

If unresolved, the TIPM may need repair/replacement due to a damaged circuit.

so it turned out to be an easy fix. Somehow I made a mistake in creating my "cross reference" between OEM wiring and bed wiring.

so OEM is
White = running/license plate
Black = Ground
Yellow = Driver Brake/Turn
Green = Passenger Brake/Turn
Red = Backup lights

so I just wired
OEM white to bed white
OEM black to bed black
OEM Green to bed green
OEM Yellow to bed Yellow
OEM red to bed red

however I missed, the bed is REALLY
white = Ground
Black = running
Green = passenger
Yellow = Driver
red = backup

not sure how I missed the bed difference, but I did
so swapped the bed side Black/white connectors and all is fine. In fact looks good.

Thanks to all who took time to post, and I apologize for wasting your time.
