First post here fellas!

I recently installed a new lightbar and 4 off road lights on my 2011 Ram 1500. I ended up getting a deal on 2 KC apollo pro 100w driving lamps and 2 apollo pro 100w long range lamps to help me when im driving country roads since the stock headlamps are mediocre at best. My question is with my stock 160amp alternator will I drain the battery running all 4 off road lights, headlights, and lets say heater for a long period of time?? Not sure the current draw of the KCs but they come with a 40amp relay per set. I dont want to drain my battery out in the middle of nowhere,

Welcome to RF!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe your OEM altenator should be able to handle the load just fine. If your concerned you could always install a second battery in series.

Have any pics of your light setup and the truck?

A) So long as the truck is running you'll be fine. If you're genuinely concerned you may want to invest in a voltage display to keep an eye on things. Also keep watch for lights dimming.
B) I'm sure those mean green alts are high quality, but I can't find the chapter in my physics books where 220A is anywhere near 300% more than 160A. It ALWAYS pays to shop around and do your homework.
You'd be surprised what you can run off a stock alt.

thanks everyone! Will post pics as soon as hunting season is over and I clean my truck up a bit. As for the lights there is no dimming and I am very happy with the output. Very sweet upgrade for the $$$ that I have in it eventhough it isnt a state of the art HID setup.

Pffft. Everyone has a hard-on for HUDs nowadays. If you're satisfied with your lighting, that's GREAT!

Not everyone!! *covers groin area with a blanket while having an HID conversation* ;)

You could always just run HIDs with the off road light ;) then we could talk about some light output! Haha just kidding. Welcome to the boards and I can't wait to see some pics of this set up

Welcome to RF. I run a cb radio, and 4 aux lights and haven't had any electrical issues whatsoever. You should be fine. Just make sure to use a fuse!
