I had an air lift in my chevy before, the problem I had was under heavy load of a while, the fittings would leak, I replaced with air line & fittings for air tools, never had a problem again.

Could be diff now, I owned mine about 10 years ago & they hols a lot of weight.

Ordered a set last weekend, still waiting for them to arrive. Looks fairly straight forward as far as installation goes. Little grinder work and bolt them on.

Installation was relatively easy. If you can turn a wrench you'll be fine. Did it all without jacking the truck up.

Make sure the bags are lined up properly and not at an angle front to back or side to side. The tops should be directly over the bottoms.
Watch that the hardware clears your brake lines so they don't get pinched or rubbed against.
Don't cut the air hose in half thinking each side is equal because in my case, the way I ran the lines, I needed more on the passenger side than the driver's.
Wet the ends of the hose before inserting the hose into the fittings (I just stuck it in my mouth). They'll go in smoother and seal better.

Other than that, piece of cake!

You had plenty of room to cut the bump stops out without jacking the truck up or removing the wheels?

There were 2 bolts holding each one in and there was plenty of clearance to remove them.

I was told the bases for the stops are welded and have to be ground off. Afterward they need ground flush before install. I've looked and mine appear to be welded on my '10 Bighorn.

Didn't know there was such a difference. Do the installation instructions call for the grinding?

The instructions that I found on Air Lifts website say that the stops have to be cut/ground off. I don't have the kit yet, still waiting for delivery. If I get time I will look at my stops tomorrow and see. From simply looking under the truck they appear to have the bases welded to the frame rails.

Under his title it says his ram is a 3500 which is a complete different installation. It say in installation manual that you gotta drop axle to remove coil to get at welded bumpers

Posting from my phone so I can't see all the "extras" on everyone's profiles, but that makes more sense now. Would be nice if it was a simple unbolt affair, I will see when I get the chance to do the install.
