Location of Stubbed Wire for Topper on 2500

Hello. Looking to wire the 3rd brake light on my topper. My 2016 1500 had a wire stubbed on the driver's side in the rear for this purpose. I can't seem to locate this on my 2022 Ram 2500. Does anyone know where this wire would be located if they incorporated one? Thanks

it is tucked up under the spare along with 2 other wires. it will be white and purple stripe. it is on the passenger side.

Ok thank you. I was reading that Ram did away with this connection and a logic control module was now necessary to make it work. I'm going to drop the spare and check. Thank you.

Thank you brother, it was there with a couple of other wires. Might be able to use those in the future once I find out what they are.

I’m looking for the same to add a high mount brake light to the bar on my bed rail and will need to drop the spare to look. Did you find out what the others are? Is one maybe for the running lights? My light has a wire for running light in addition to a wire for the brighter brake light.

Here are some schematics from 2022 model year. I found 3 wires tucked up near the spare tire on right side. 2 appear to be power ( bat and ign) and the other for the brake light. All three have shrink wrap on the end.

i had the bed off my 2016, when it was new
Now i wish that i had sorted out the wires just a bit better, but the body shop guys were working on it






I seem to remember from some ones post quite some time ago, that, on the frame, behind the drives rear wheel, the wiring tape gets bulkier, like some wires might be hidden there.
Look at the area near the rear spring, there is something that looks like a Yellow Wire Tie, notice how fat the tape is

Also right in that area, there should be a connection that leads to to the Tailgate wiring & one other connection, right behind the license Plate, that also goes to the tailgate wiring
