Have any of you had any luck with buying good locking fuel caps/doors? I only saw an AMI (sp?) fuel door but heard you may have to saw part of the existing door.

No and no.[emoji49].
I can not use locking caps so I bought a looking door.
It came apart in about 2 months, and lost a piece and broke out some of the aluminum. I have "repaired" it by cutting a caulk tube for the missing spacer/bushing.
I can't seem to link it but I bought off Amazon. All Sales Billet locking fuel door. I bought open box for about 66$. Glad I didn't pay full price.
FYI if you don't know
It's hard to siphon gas from newer vehicles.
They're all keyed alike same key as most RV compartments. They are easily defeated.
I wanted one so someone would not tamper with my vehicle. I park by rivers and have seen and heard of people urinating into fuel fillers. The guy I saw may have only been acting. But

I just purchased a lock gas cap from Stant. Works well and it's behind the fuel door so that's a plus.

I've read that the locking fuel cap's lock can be picked very easily.

No need to pick it it's a common key that many have already.

They are easy but most times anybody that is hell bent on stealing your fuel, is just going to drill/punch a hole in the bottom of the polymer tank anyways. Locking caps really just serve to keep out happenstance vandals.

Exactly, its merely a light deterrent for those opportunity thieves or vandals out there. Im just gonna get a Chrysler pacifica one. I believe they fit.
