I just installed the afe long tubes and y pipe race series kit (no cats) my truck is a 2015, I ordered the 2019 setup as I didn't see the race series for 2015 it bolted right up except for the O2 sensor extensions but I made them longer and I had to cut off the rear flange as my setup didn't have that. All in all very happy with the looks fit and performance. I 100% reccomend afe quality is great and the name is known for good stuff.
I did long tubes I already had done the muffler delete. I'll be going full stainless cat back setup soon. You could probly run stock tune if you get long tubes with cats. You won't have that big power but it will sure be noticeable over stock that's for sure. That said a tune will Definately help you I went with a Jay Greene tune and it made a huge difference in power but it wasn't necessary. In my case I went Alittle overboard I only wanted to fix the manifold leak and went Alittle too far. [emoji23]Looks sweet for sure.
Did you just put headers and exhaust on your truck, or did you do a tune to it as well??
As I'm wanting to maybe get headers on my 2015, but for the expense, it's not really worth it in terms of "seat of the pants" get up and go as to what I've been made to believe.
What's your experience??
Thank you in advance for any info or thoughts passed along.

I think my next upgrade is a cam then I'm done the engine should be almost bullet proof fixing all the known dodge issues that refuse to properly fix.
Who ever told you that long tube headers did not give you any "seat of the pants get up and go" must be used to some other type of "seat of the pants get up and go" I don't even want to think about. You will find there is a VERY noticeable difference in the performance of your truck with long tube headers installed.

Get them you won't regret it!!!!!!!! You have the air going in and need it going out to get more powaaaa. You'll like the difference trust me. If they didn't work no one would sell em....so do you think there is that much more over having a custom tune already? just trying to justify another 2 grand. i mean going from stock to a couple mods and a hemitune with trans tune was pretty freakin sweet..........I'm right on the edge of some ARH long tubes

Yes. Although in my mind they are more mid length rather than lt's.Does the AFE long tubes kit come with the gaskets, headers bolts and O2 sensor extensions?
I ordered the afe twisted steel race series they don't come with cats. They're for a 2019 but they're cheaper with highest hp numbers and they fit on my 2015 ram with no problems. You just need to extend your 02 sensor wires as the extensions for that year won't work on our trucks. Super happy I went that way though it sounds great. Thanks, I'm definitely going to be ordering the AFE long tubes then
