I have a 2013 1500 big horn 4x4 with the 5.7.

Exhaust wise I am looking for an exhaust system that utilize the stock exhaust locations in the bumper. I want it to be a lorder than stock but not obnoxiously loud.

Intake wise I am looking for a reliable system that is proven and made with good quality.

Yes I also know that just swapping out systems is actually decreasing power without a proper tune. Just doing the research ahead of buying everything.

Sounds like you need a Magnaflow Muffler set up and a S&B or Vararam intake depending on where you live....Hit up Matt @ Moe's (Hemi450hp on the forum) for a great deal! Good luck!

Do you have a single or dual stock system?

I'd recommend swapping out the stock muffler(s) with a freer flowing one(s) of your choice.

If you have a single now, and like the looks of duals, have a shop install a single in / dual out muffler and run new tail pipes back with the outlet location and tips of your choice.

For an intake, S&B or Vararam are two I'd recommend as well.

For what you describe, the 18" Mufflex Exhaust and S&B Cold Air Intake are perfect. The 18" Mufflex is a direct clamp on muffler replacement that uses an 18" Magnaflow muffler. It is louder than stock, but in no way obnoxious.

And the S&B intake is as good as they get when it comes to build quality and fitment. You cant go wrong with either of these parts.

I have the big horn which comes with the dual tips with the bumper molded around them. I'd prefer to retain the stock location. Also where do you guys buy your parts from?

I have a 2012 Bighorn and have the S&B CAI and the 24" Mufflex on it. Great fit and sounds pretty damn good. I live in Cali, so had to get the S&B with a CARB sticker due to emissions. Both were really easy to install.

Thank you for the information everyone! I've looked into them and priced them and feel that your recommendations of the S&B CA I and 18" muffler fit in price range and look to be relatively easy installs. Will keep you all updated on progress as it happens!
