I am looking for some pocket style fender flares for my 2009 Ram 1500. I would like to find some that hug the body and have a low tire coverage. I would go with the OE style for less tire coverage but I do not really like the looks of that flare. I have a stone white slt big horn truck with chrome bumpers. I am leaving the flares black. If anyone has come across a brand of pocket style flares that do not stick out very far please let me know. I've been looking on Ebay and Amazon and really haven't found what I'm looking for. Thanks

I was also wondering if anyone has modified the mounting of pocket style flares. I noticed when I installed flares on my 2007 Ram 1500 there was a little play in the flare and I could push it almost up against the fender. So I wondered if I drilled new mounting holes towards the outside of the flare if it would suck them incloser. Thoughts? .

The OEM flares attach via the inner fender bolts near the inside of the fender lip
area and 3M two side tape along the fender panel sheet metal. Do the flares you mention attach the same way? I have OEM flares to be installed for
my 2018 RAM Sport 4x4, non-pocket style. The use the tape install to hold the flare to the fender panels.

The flares I will be purchasing will just mount with screws and attach to the lip of the fender.

I really want the look of pocket flares and the coverage of OEM flares. Basically I do not like how the pocket flares stick so far out when stock rims and tires are on the truck.

I used the Mopar pocket flares, they make them for 1500 and 2500. They stick out a little more than the smooth flares but not as much as the big pocket flares
