I just purchased a Mufflex DOD24 and looking to change out the exhaust tip to something larger. Does anyone have any recommendations? Looking for something that bolts in. Don't want to spend more that 150 for both.

Assuming you have 4" tips currently? I've gone up to 5" with a few different setups, but neither fit in your criteria. One was cheaper at $50 per tip (on summit racing), but weren't bolt on (pipe diameter was 1/4" bigger on the tips). And the other setup was bolt on (Carven) but was $200 for the set.

I'm definitely looking for a 5" exhaust tip. Just didn't know if anyone had good experiences with one or the other. I saw the Craven but did see that they were more than I Wanted to spend and needed to be welded in place. I appreciate the assistance.

Carven tips do not need to be welded. They use the factory exhaust clamps (and they come with new ones)
They look and sound great!

I ordered a set of black five inch bolt on tips from a seller on eBay last February. They were $198.00 with free shipping.
The seller is 2014usmuffl.

Don’t have a good pic now but I can take one tomorrow if you would like to see them on my truck.

That's right about what my carvens costed me as well. Got them from Moe's for $199 shipped, the thing that made me feel pretty good about it though was carvens warranty. I'm skeptical of anything holding up for very long in the north east so it's nice to have to have a back up plan.

Also in regards to midnight storms post, I agree, the carvens are bolt on without need to weld. (Referring this part to the OP)

I’m Pretty sure 5” is the biggest without fabin your tips up. If you fab, you can go as big as you want too!
Diesel it up! lol

Anybody know why Moes doesn't offer 5" Black tips anymore?

Since my catback uses 2.5” pipe (stock is 2.25”) I had 2.5”-6” outlet stainless double Wall powdercoated tips custom made...and they only costed me $50/pair. They were also blasted, zinc primered, then powdered.
They bolted right onto the 2.5” pipe. No need to weld.

Got these polished stainless 5" tips on Amazon for $60/pair from LCGP Exhaust.
They have a 2 year warranty, drain hole on bottom but are 3" inlet, so I bought the needed adapters & clamps.
(they didn't have a 2 1/4" to 3" od so I had to 'step up')
Length on 'assembled' one is 16" to the top slanted edge. Just waiting on warmer weather.

Thank you everyone for your input. Sorry for the late reply. Been away on business. I think I’m going to go with the muffllex 5 inch exhaust tips. A little more than I wanted to spend but they seem to be worth it. Thank you everyone again.
