I need to replace the transmission mount near the rear of the transmission. Is it sold as a full cross member piece or can I just replace the mount (is it bolt on?)? 84 d150 with 727 .

If it is like many cars from that era it should be a separate mount and fits many applications. Beware of the cheap china mounts that have inferior rubber and break not long after installed. Look for a quality mount or even NOS mopar one. It should have two bolts holding it to the trans and a long bolt thru the crossmember.

I found a part number for the mount, but I cannot find it available anywhere. Supposedly the product number is 4494475 but anyone who lists it says it's no longer available. Any other options?

lambert auto sales and deception pass motor parts show one in stock. silkes shows two in stock. go to partsvoice.com and put in the part number.

Also that may be the newer updated part number. Some of the older numbers should fit also. The mount has looked pretty much the same for years. Some of the late 70 cars had a bracket welded on them for a exhaust mount or something like that.

well like i said i replaced mine a few years ago and it now seems like it needs to be replaced again. i know after i installed it i think i came across a poly insert kit that worked with the mount i had bought but was hoping the rubber one would last. less than 5,000km later it seems shot.

China made mounts and the India mounts are the worst. They start falling apart from day one. That is why I suggested a NOS mopar mount. Heck a 30 year old rubber mount is still much better then that junk.

I'm trying to get a line on an NOS molar one but they're hard to come by.

if your willing to pay for NOS minus well just go with poly mounts. more or less about the same cost. rockauto list ENERGY SUSPENSION 51101G for about $20+$10shipping which is a poly insert for stock mount. if you want cheap the pioneer brand ones are $7 from rockauto and if they are exactly as they appear in the picture they are likely better than the $3-5 ones listed.

but $40USD. about $50CAD plus whatever they are going to nail you for shipping which would likely take it up to at least $60CAD. to me it really don't seem like it is worth using a NOS mount on a truck that is likely be used as a daily driver. best to leave parts like that for people who are actually restoring a truck or vehicle to factory. plus i don't know how much much the hemi in Yoox's truck twists the transmission. i would probably be wanting to go with a mount that is more solid than stock.

No need to convince me of anything. He was the one looking for a NOS mount and I found one for him. I understand your point. Just trying to help.
