I am looking to upgrade my bulbs. Low and high beams and fog light bulbs. There are halogen, LED, and HD ones I think. What's the word on all of these different style of bulbs? I'd like something brighter than what's in my truck now. Oh. It's a 2015 1500. Do I need anything special to make them work? Thanks for the help.

I would upgrade to LED bulbs. Make sure they can be clocked, meaning you want the diodes facing outward to the left and right of the housing. This will give you a better cutoff and not blind oncoming traffic. LED bulbs will give you the brightness of HID without having to rewire and add ballasts and such.

I used Heise LED in my 2019. The headlight housing are clocked correctly, and i had to clock the LED fogs, no biggie. But order the adapter harness, and no flicker, no issues at all.

Which headlights do you have?

We can offer a few options depending on what you have. Also we offer a couple options for the fogs. You can do a replacement lamp, either HID or LED or do a full LED housing upgrade. Feel free to message me for more info and pricing

I have non projector housings. I did get some LED bulbs. They are clocked correctly but the driver side keeps turning off. Any ideas or suggestions on what "can" be causing this? I was told to get some canbus decoders.

What size bulbs for low and high beams for a 2014 1500 w/projector headlights? And would LED or HID be better? Much rather prefer something that’s going to fit inside dust cover(if any) instead of modifying it. Also, read something with having to get resistors? Or just simply MUCH better brighter replacement bulbs. Sorry, I not very knowledgeable at all.

The pre-'16 OEM projector headlights use a 9012 for the low beam and 9005 for the high beam. The '16 and newer OEM projectors use 9005 in both low and high beams.

Thanks! Reading all sorts of things like flickering, error codes and light output. I might just go with brightness halogens i can find.

There's brightness and then there is color change.
Good halogen upgrade for the quad headlights is the H9 low beam and 9011 for the high beams - minor modifications to the bulb are needed but they are a really nice upgrade. Google H11 to H9 upgrade or Thunderbulb.

HOW DO YOU CLOCK THE BULB?????!!!!!

Only yelling because I've asked this question in like 6 other threads and never got an answer. Local upfit shop says they just plug in and turn to lock.
