I agree that we need to be conscious of mankinds effect on the world around us, and we should try to pollute as little as possible, but the USA has made great progress in that regard.

However, until countries like China, India, etc., who pollute at a rate much greater than the USA, are brought in line, it is like peeing in a windstorm.

Do I believe China, India, etc. will ever do this? No, absolutely not.

I hope the v8 makes a comeback, time will tell.

Yours has etorque, it's a hybrid. 2022 was the last year you could have a v8 without a hybrid system.
So I guess you can leave your carbon footprint behind your backseat with your lithium battery.

This is a place where I feel like we as Americans think we have more leverage than we do. We do a lot of great things.... but solving a world problem of pollution isn't one of them. We may try to reduce the impact, but wherever we leave a gap a country trying to overtake ours steps in and fills it. If they know they can produce something we need/want that we can't because of emissions... they do it. World be darned.

You should try living up here with the supreme climate alarmist natsi trudeau. We have an escalating carbon tax on most fuels and they've been caught pyssing that tax money away and yet it continues.

He's threatening to start pressuring China but already has one foot out the door. He should be gone after the next election, I doubt anyone else will get after china.

I noticed that after installing mine, the exhaust note right when you start it very briefly sounds eerily similar to O Canada.

I finally got to drive a 2025 that came in I will gladly say Il never own a non hemi ram I dont think this new 6 cylinder will tow my car trailer lmfaooo hate the way it feels to not my cup of tea.

That's not going to happen. Stellantis didn't change to the I6 Turbo because they wanted to. The EPA made it happen with fines. So going back to a V8 isn't really an option. That's also why all the truck mfg's are headed in that direction. The only one left where you can find a V8 is Chevy/GMC. Last I checked with the F150, they do exist, but are hard to find. If you a picky about options, you would have to order one.

Dang, that is the first I have heard of that. I have only heard great things about it other than the sound.

Chevy offers 2 V8s in half tons, 5.3 and 6.2. Ford does offer the 5.0 (not counting the Raptor R, which is technically a truck but more of a toy), but like you said it's tough to find on lots. Take rate is higher for EBs (counting both 2.7 and 3.5) by roughly 3:1 most years so dealers stock more of them.

So, on a whim, I headed over to RAM's website to check out trucks (I like to "window shop" occasionally) - and I was sorely disappointed to discover that they're no longer going to produce any V8 trucks... I hate anything that is 6- or 4- cylinder and refuse to buy anything with those type of engines. So, needless to say, unless I go with something used, or they decide to start producing V8s again, I'll never be buying a RAM truck again. That sucks, because they HAD (IMHO) the best trucks on the market. The 2024 TRX is way overpriced as well - and it's going to be the last model with a V8.

That being said, what are your thoughts on this?

I wouldn't be so sure we won't see another V8 Ram. CAFE restrictions are changing and EV mandates are going away, so demand may bring back a Ram V8. Let's hope.
