Okay, so I go in for routine maintenance today, an oil change and I decided to have them go ahead and change out my fuel filter. They could not get it primed and it will not start. There is an air bubble in the line. It is a diesel. Could this be because of a loose or cracked line or something more serious?

Your fuel filter is on the driver side of the engine at the bottom of the filter housing there is a quarter turn valve with a hose coming off. Open the valve and see if fuel comes out. If no large amount comes out cycle the key a couple times till it does then close it and try to start it

Rowdy is right. I have an 06 Cummins. Make sure water/fuel separator valve is closed. Cycle key (do not crank) up to 6 times to have fuel pump fill the filter canister. Do not crank for more than 15 sec's at a time after you have pumped the filter canister full, wait 1-2 minutes between sets of 2-3 15 sec. cranks. This is a PITA if you've gotten to this point, but it will start...eventually. DO NOT open drain valve while running or cranking.
