Hey everyone, have you all noticed how loud our 4th gen ram injectors. For some reason it annoys me and a few others out there. I'm running 160lb injectors in another truck (chevy) and you can't even hear them.

What I'm wondering is if anyone has tried aftermarket Injectors for anything turbo/supercharger whatever and noticed that they're quieter? They just seem obnoxiously loud it's the only thing I hear under the hood and I'm not a fan of that.

I'm curious what you all have to say.
Brandon.

I completely agree, the injectors on these trucks are needlessly loud...

So apparently many manufacturers use a damper in the fuel rail, hemis don't have one which could contribute to some of this I'm thinking....

Does it have anything to do with their placement right on the top? I know the old Ford modular V8s had a similar setup but I don't remember even hearing them...

I'm Not sure.. I'm researching the crap ouda it. Everyone seems to think it's a valve slap and injectors would make more of a buzzing sound but that's not possible not on every dodge out there lol. This is specifically an injector chic chic chic noice.

you might be on to something, I don't hear anything injector noise from mine and they are 30K psi injectors and it's turbocharged. Sounds like it's mod time for you...lol

I drove a 5.4 Ford work vehicle that had some obnoxious injector noise at idle. You could hear them get louder as the engine returned to idle speed.

Yeah I think I may try it. Kinda does make sense. Found a company that makes the rails and dampers for the charger but not the ram. [emoji53] [emoji853]

I wonder if charger/challanger fuel rails would fit on the ram intake? Anyone have any insight?

Difference between charger/challenger 5.7 and ram 5.7 is the oil fill neck protrudes out farther in the ram and can be an obstruction plus the alternator is in the front of the driver side rail
