anyone install a between the rails Lund roll up cover? I went to install mine tonight and previously rolled the dice on an amazon warehouse open box item got bit by it. When I opened the box, all hardware was loose in the box. One rail clamp was missing the bolt to tighten it down, and another clamp was missing altogether. This meant I only had 4 of the 6 clamps usable. Not the end of the world for a day or two. But I was also missing a carriage bolt that bolts the cover itself to the side rails at the cab end of the bed. So I conceded that I would be unable to finish my installation for the evening and decided to just bolt the rails in place best I can and head to a local truck upfitter tomorrow to see if they had the hardware I needed. I’d rather not wait for Lund if I don’t have to, and I’m past the return period for Amazon, so I can’t return it (without a substantial amount of ********, that is).

New problem: the drivers side rail bolts down just fine. The passenger side tilts upwards, no matter how I situate the rail before tightening down the clamps. Now, it’s entirely possible it will correct itself with the needed third clamp, but the drivers side is completely parallel, so I kind of doubt it. The instructions say that if it is not parallel to remove the second layer of foam, but there is already only one layer. What am I doing wrong here?

And we’re supposed to get weather tonight, I was really hoping to have this installed before that, but that doesn’t look like it’s in the cards.

Not knowing what the rails looks like is it’s possible that one is bent?

I’m not familiar with that cover but I know on my clamps there was an orientation of the 2 clamp halves (inner and outer) and it also states to move the clamp up or down (teeth) on the rail itself to adjust for angle.

Hmm... that’s not a bad idea. I can try moving the bracket down a bit with the teeth to try and adjust the pitch. I didn’t try that last night, and now the truck is covered in ice.
