Hello just joined this form. I have a 2012 Ram 3500 ST. I bought Laramie heated and cooled seat out of a 2013 2500 Laramie. Currently my truck has manual seats non heated on both sides. The new seats have power, heated, and cooled. I've installed the seats already and quickly noticed I didnt have the right wiring. I'm looking for any help in finding a wiring harness and buttons to make these 3 functions work. Thanks

Unfortunately these seats will not function in your truck in their current configuration. The wiring is completely different in the 09-12 trucks than the 13-18 trucks. The Heated Seat Module and Memory Seat Module in the 13 and up trucks operate on a completely different CAN system and will not communicate with your truck even if you were able to somehow connect it to your truck. You would also need to modify the other wiring for the seat belt chime and occupancy sensor. My advice would be to sell the seats and purchase the correct year seats. You can make the power adjust functions work by running a constant 12v to the solid red wire and ground to the solid black wire in the yellow seat connector in each seat.

I believe the alfa tool is capable of turning the codes on in the BCM on the 2012. Your biggest issue would be building a harness for your truck. We have figured out the 13 and up trucks and you can actually buy the harness from M2mods for it but to the best of my knowledge no one makes a harness for the 2012. With all that being said if you can get the schematics you could build your own harness just like we did when we figured out the 13 and up trucks. It all depends on how much effort you want to put into it.

*** I'm not taking new orders right now ***

I received a bunch of orders in the last week and I need to put a hold on new orders while I catch up. Please give me about a week or so to open things back up.

Thank you very much for all the interest. Hope to get everyone squared away quickly but not willing to sacrifice quality to get them out faster. (Still have a regular job too!)

>> I do have 1 complete 17 Ra4 ATC upgrade kit ready to ship for 13-17 trucks.

Hello All,

Just joined this forum. Working on VP4 NA Radio upgrade. Looking to order the HVAC harness and 911 cell error plug too. I understand you're not taking orders right now, but please let me know as soon as you can take more.

Thank you!!
Brian

Will do.
Do you already have a radio, bezel, HVAC module, etc? I have a 17 Ra4 kit with ATC ready to ship.

I have the HVAC module, but nothing else yet. How much for your whole kit? Does the 2017 radio work in my 2016??

I've been watching some auctions on eBay and have a bid in on a 2017 radio. LKQ has one listed for $365. I've found a couple bezels for $125, and I got the HVAC box for $82. My truck does not have ATC so I was not going to get that module either. Is that needed to complete the upgrade?? I watched a few install videos where that was just ignored when doing a truck like mine with just the normal and not zoned heating.

Hello, new to this thread but my current 5.0 went out in my 13' 1500 so I am looking at options of either just replacing with the same or upgraded but I see there is a wiring harness needed for the conversion. Anyone know the reasoning for the HVAC conversion?

Sending you a message. A phone call would be easier to explain...

But the first few posts here may help.
- DIY: 2013+ RA3/RA4 8.4" Radio Conversion Upgrade.

For a 13-17 RA3/RA4 8.4 upgrade your 13 ram 1500 (same as my prior truck) will need the 4 (to 7) speed HVAC conversion, fan resistor harness, 7 speed resistor, correct HVAC Module (same as 2500's), 8.4 radio, and 8.4 HVAC/radio bezel.

* You also have the option of adding Single Zone Auto Temp Control (ATC), ie set it to 72° and the rest is taken care of automatically.

I see you have stuff to put the cargo cam in. I have the 2019 1500 classic warlock with 8.4 radio and back up camera. I didn't want the cargo cam but would like to add a front bumper cam more for parking. What parts would I need to buy to get something like this to work? How would I switch between the 2 or just turn front cam on manually?

Thanks so much !

You just need an RCA camera pigtail ($20) installed into the correct pins at the radio connector, activate the cargo cam with AlfaOBD,b and install any aftermarket front camera that connects to the new RCA input/powered off a switched 12v source like the accessory outlet by the radio or tap the bu cam power at the PDC.
Switch manually using the cargo cam button on the 16+ radios (shuts off after specific amount of time).

See....
kad 's front camera on Cargo Cam input thread.
