The OP has a 2022 Power Wagon, so the Tazer is not an option anyway, since they don’t have a Tazer product for 2019+ 2500/3500’s.
Even with the Tazer DT on a 1500, I can’t see the use of any camera view that the surround view camera system offers to be useful when using the turn signals:
- I don’t know how the rear camera image can be useful when changing lanes.
- Obviously the front camera image is of no use when changing lanes.
- I’m not seeing anything in the overhead surround view image that can show anything meaningful when changing lanes.
- The side mirror camera images on a 1500 aren’t useful either, since they display a straight to the ground curb view.
The only useful way to utilize a turn signal camera for the Rams is on the 2500/3500’s with surround view because their side mirror cameras display an image looking straight back at the lanes down each side of the truck behind the mirrors. This is what the OP is wanting to see when pulling a trailer.
The 2023+ 2500/3500’s have turn signal cameras as a factory feature. Here’s a video of me using a canbus device, similar to a tazer or Naviks, to retrofit the factory turn signal camera feature on my 2017 2500. This is how Naviks should have programmed their device to work.

Even after all that, I’ve ultimately disabled the feature. I can’t see the usefulness of any type of turn signal camera, mainly because I don’t even hit the turn signal until I already know I’m clear to change lanes. That, and it’s annoying that the camera screen comes up every time I use the turn signal but don’t need to see the camera image, such as in a turning lane.
