Searched this site and definitely find a lot of talk on this, hoping to get my question answered but I guess mine is a bit different.
2013 Ram 1500 5.7, had the rough run, shaking, no power issue with code P1417 and some others. Found if I put in tow haul mode when starting it never has the issue and runs fine. Everytime I forget to put it in tow haul i have the issue, then have to pull over shut down, wait, restart then is ok. I recently changed Cly 7 activation solenoid (I think #7, left side rear) but no difference. I'm suspecting cam or lifters but why are they ok in tow haul mode? Could one of the other solenoids be causing it?
Thanks much!

No other codes? Usually not the cam/lifter code, but of course we would never rule that out being a hemi. I'd drive in tow haul all the time anyhow.

Putting it in tow haul mode makes it so the mds lifters can't activate same as putting it in manual shift mode.
