Might be getting back into a Cummins

Stopped by the local dodge dealer today for ***** and giggles and what did I find, 09 ram 2500 qc Cummins bighorn with 36k. So called my buddy who works at the same company dealership just in another town to have it there on Tuesday when I am having a oil change on my truck. If I can get the numbers right and the wife's approval may be back into a diesel.

My last truck I was supposed to keep for 5-6 years, kept it just about 2. This truck I'm supposed to keep for another 6 or so. I have awful ADD when it comes to vehicles.

Do you tow a lot? One thing to consider is the warranty on your 2012 versus the 2009. Or does the 2009 have the lifetime powertrain?

X2 for sure. I flip vehicles WAY too often. I'm planning on keeping the 2013 ram for at least 4 years, but that will most likely change too.

Not sure, something I'll find out next week. If it doesn't get sold by then. Honestly no I don't tow. I do haul wood time to time. I'd rather have more than I need than not enough.

Here are some pics of the truck. The interior was a bit dirty, some stains on the seats. Didn't see any signs of a 5th wheel, it does have a trailer brake.

very nice i don't blame ya on wanting to upgrade i just got my 06 2500 hemi and love it but when i finish paying it off this summer if i see something like that and the numbers work i might do the same lol

Yeah, IMO that's a step backwards. Sure, it has a Cummins which is an awesome engine, but you're getting dated exterior styling and an interior that IMO was dated in 2009 and a truck that you have NO idea how it was cared for. Keep your truck!! It's bad ass IMO.

Thanks. I didn't care for the 3rd gen interior styling. It was a one owner local trade in. Sounded great ran and drove very strong. Even if the numbers worked out it would of been a hard sell to the wife. I'm supposed to keep this one for a while.
