Have the opportunity to pick up a 1995 Short/Single V6 for $400. Guys moving from here, been transferred and cannot take his old truck. Starts, warms up and dies. Thinking maybe IAC or crank sensor? Not much swaps between this one and my old 98 with a 5.2. But hey, ya know.

Check engine light on? About how long does it run before it dies?

After it dies, what happens if you remove air cleaner from the throttle body and dump some gas down the throat then try to start again. Will it run and die? If so, sounds like a flakey fuel pump.
