My spouse had an Oops with a county vehicle and I ended up needing to replace the driver's side mirror on my 2019 1500 Classic. I didn't have OEM money, so I bought a more affordable aftermarket options from Parts Geek. A Brock brand replacement. Since then, the temperature has been off. I just started getting a CEL for a u110e. Ambient Temperature Sensor.

Is there anything I can do to calibrate this or am I stuck going back to OEM and/or paying for a dealership to calibrate it.

I appreciate everyone's time. Thanks!

It would seem that ,
IF a Ram part is powered by 12 volts
Buy the OEM replacement

as far as the Ambient Temperature Sensor goes

What good purpose does it serve

It worked better on my old 2009 Dodge Ram
back then, it was located just in back of the grille

It's plug and play. Our Rams aren't too happy with non OEM sensors. Get an oem one.
Thanks Harry. I was hoping to avoid a $500 bill, but I guess I need to find something that works better. This aftermarket mirror has a completely different style of sensor that can't be replaced like the OEM one.

Edit: the part I bought said "temperature sensor without memory". There's also an option for an identical manual fold towing mirror "with memory". I don't understand the difference. Just asking for clarification. Thanks
