Hello again. The drivers side mirror turn signal is not working on my 2014 1500 Longhorn with tow mirrors. Anyone have an idea as to what to look for to fix it? Ya think I need to take the door panel off? I doubt the LED lights are burned out (I think there are two and do not think they would both burn out).
Thank you,
David

Common problem. The leds suck. Both signals on my mirrors stopped working. Corrosion plays a big factor.

Very common problem. As stated corrosion plays a big factor. Changing them isn’t hard at all. Can be done in 10-20 mins for both sides. While you are at it might as well change the puddle lights while your in there. (Although those can be changed without taking the glass out). Changed out all of mine once I saw that some of my LEDs were burned out.
Here are the part numbers:

Turn signal mirror
68302828AA
68302829AA

Puddle light mirror
68302825AA
68302824AA

Well, replaced the two Puddle lights and the two turn signals on the mirrors. They all work now (and are brighter than the originals I believe)!! Thank you all! I didn't even know my truck had "puddle lights."

On the Lumber Wagon the puddle lights have not worked for a couple years. The turn signal on the right mirror has been out for a year and the left mirror finally quit this week. In fact the first ones quit working the first year of ownership. I wish they would have running lights as well.

I read they are easy to replace. But is it worth it? Are the replacements made any better? Are their aftermarkets and are they any better?

I replaced my puddle lights a few weeks ago, and I just received my replacement signal lights. I ordered smoked lens to match my cab lights. I am also going to wire them to be on as running lights. I will post pics when I get them complete. Here is the link to the ones I purchased. https://www.ebay.com/itm/183186445042

Thanks. I would like them to function as running lights also.

My plan is to wire them into the cab light wire found in the passenger side snap out panel. That is the same wire I used for my underside running lights.
Thanks. I would like them to function as running lights also.

If you want them to function as a running light, you’ll need a diode and a resistor in the wiring. I don’t think you can just connect them to your parking light circuit.

Kits are available to do this. The kits also usually retain the turn signal functionality as well. I used the kit at jhdlighting.com, it’s only $20 plus shipping.

Thank you for the heads up. I ordered two sets last night.

You only need one kit to do both mirrors, but it doesn’t hurt to have a spare for sure. I’ll probably order a second as well.

My buddy has a 2014 Ram as well, so I am doing both trucks at the same time.

The hardest part is pulling the wire through the rubber boot into the door. You’d do yourself well to have a stiff bendable wire or something to use to fish the wire through. The passenger side is easier, the driver side boot is packed with wires.
