I’m glad that someone has had a great set of tips. Hopefully hearing that will allow those who are new to make a conscious decision without feeling frustrated. Since I swap exhausts so often it’s not a big deal for me. :)

The gold tint is due to high heat and can usually be buffed/polished out. I've seen this happen with Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, our own tips, and just about every other brand of polished tip.

There are a couple ways to prevent the gold color with a polished tip, so we are working on redesigning the tip to prevent it from happening to ours in the future. I will post more about it as soon as we release those. Your truck is building enough heat out the back to cause them to discolor, so if we send you another set as they sit now, it is going to do the same thing.

If you would like to wait for the redesign, then we will replace it. If not, I dont mind taking them back and refunding you for the tips. Just let me know.

Matt,

Have the polished stainless tips been redesigned and are they available? I'm interested in a set - not sure if I want the polished stainless or the gloss black

With stainless steel you can remove the tarnished look with a lemon. Cut it in 1/2 cross ways and polish the tips the acid in the lemons will remove the yellowing color. It also works on copper, silver and other metals as well. Remember to wash the tips after cleaning and put a high quality protective polish on after they’re cleaned.

I love my truck!

Got mine today just put them on. Pretty please except one has a small scratch/gouge, but it is hidden past the bumper so I am not gonna sweat it. Seems to be little louder and deeper than stock tips.
