And, for your daily laugh, me, looking like a reject from a John Hughes movie with my '73 Challenger, circa 1987 or so. :happy175: :happy175: View attachment 477356
Great looking Challenger! You have that Michael Anthony vibe lol what did it have done to it? This was my era growing up as a kid. Let me see if I can dig up an old picture of my dad and his new 82 Z28.

Hahaha, it was a basically stock 318 car, but at least it looked good!! Funny thing, if you look in the back of the pic, you can just see the nose of my "winter car" An original 72 Rally Nova! Doh!!

Here we go. My dad when I was a kid. Getting back his first truck and slapping a 428 cj motor into it. Then my youthful years as a late model mustang 5.0 builder and then the time I restored the car not the same car but same model year 67 that I rode in the back seat of in the early 80s as a kid. Dad bought a brand new 82 Z28 and then a 84 V8 Firebird 4 speed I assume. My father taught me so much as did his dad. I’ve been lucky Tom build both carb cars and fuel injection cars. I don’t like the modern fuel injection. I love my foxbody simplicity.

No it was a clone in progress but it is a BS code Cuda.
Back in '79 I had a chance to buy an '70 AAR Cuda for $5000. I laughed at the guy because of the price at the time! Guess who's laughing now? God if I could have only seen the future, the cars I passed on!!!! Saw a orange and black '70 Superbird on a car lot back in '81, they wanted $3500 for it, laughed at that one too, told them they didn't cost much more than that new........... Yes still kicking my own *** for that one too! I wish my crystal ball wasn't in the shop at the time!!! LOL

DOH!!!!! Yes it is a 340. I did a cam and spread bore intake swap. I am also rewiring the car front to rear as well as fixing whatever I find wrong as I go. And I love the sublime green.

Love the 340. Was always a very underated engine when they were running right. We called them the "Baby Hemi".

No one knew what they would become nor the prices they would go to. My dad in the late 80s had the chance to grab a 67 Nicky Camaro 427 car. At the time the documentation on them was not what we have now. I think he wanted some where in the 10k range for it best I remember. He had a guy fly in with a brief case full of money and told him if he had even one paper work showing it was the real deal it was his. He didn't have anything.

All of this talk about muscle cars had me looking to see if you could still get the old VW tires as we called them. I ran 3.5" weld racing wheels on the front. Then 8" on the back. Man they have gone up.

I found this picture on the internet today. I built this truck around 1988, this picture was in 2018. I took the flathead 6, 3 on the tree out and put a 360 automatic in it. This was my first attempt of a Lil' Red Express tribute. Notice the Ram's head on the hood, Stellantis didn't invent Ram, Dodge did! This was 1953, not 2010!
