I would almost kill to have a ride like that in driveway. Now, auctions on those are just way ahead of any discretionary money I may have.View attachment 248022 This was my 68 Road Runner I owned from 1981 till about 1991. The picture does it no justice, the color was called Kandy Brandy Wine, beautiful color. It was the family car, it was my weekend racer, it was my drive to work car. That's why I laugh when people call them junk, that one car did what most people of today use 2 or 3 cars for!
9.7s is not bad at all. Stock 5.0 5 Spd Mustangs weren't too far off that number. That was in the 1/8th mile which it was geared to high for and it was factory stock but it ran in the 9.7's , wasn't terrible for those times!
I did not know you were in the paving business, thats really cool! My neighbor for 32 years was in that business. He didn't do to bad.View attachment 477320
This is how Mopar I am, I started with this company in 1985 and they supplied me a company truck. One of the agreements I made with them is I wanted to be supplied a Dodge. Been with them for 36 years and they still hold up to their side. My first one was a 1977 Dodge 250, my 2nd one was a 1987 Dodge 250, my 3rd one was a 1998 Dodge 2500 and now this one. It's good to work for someone that stays true to their word!View attachment 477324

You're right about that, I paid $1200 for that car in '81 and it only had 12,000 ish miles because it spent most of its previous years on the dragstrip!I would almost kill to have a ride like that in driveway. Now, auctions on those are just way ahead of any discretionary money I may have.
1/4 mile at a time lol. You're right about that, I paid $1200 for that car in '81 and it only had 12,000 ish miles because it spent most of its previous years on the dragstrip!
Well he had a 5.38 gear in it and left the original speedometer gear for a 3.23 rear so the speedometer stayed buried most of the time! Lol1/4 mile at a time lol.
You'd be surprised how many people use to think the headlights were extra big on that '67 camper special. Used to call them the ugly trucks with the giant headlights. I liked them of course. I like that '89 also, good looking truck! Wouldn't mind that Chrysler 300C SRT8 either!Nice set of Mopar @mad dog You dont see very many Desoto's anymore. I really like that Camper special too! Which one was your favorite?
