Do they require drilling? I've been searching all over the web and found the answer for Weather Tech and some others, but nothing on the actual Mopar ones.

Anyone using them? I'd like to keep from flinging rocks up on my shiny new paint.

Also, recommendations on black steps?

I have molded mopar flaps and looks like they attach with screws that go into fender but I am not sure if they are existing holes or not. I'll take a picture. Okay here is what I have although truck is dirty.

i don't have mud flaps on this truck, but i briefly did on my 05 and the most pia part about mounting them was taking the wheel off to drill the hole.

Hi. I'm just bought a Ram 1500. I would loke to get the molded splash guards, but I read somewhere that the front ones don't fit with the factory step bar. It looks like you may have that combo? If you do, what's your opinion? Thanks.

They fit great I bought my truck used and they came on it with factory steps. I like the molded as they don't bend back and have that slanted back look.

Just a word of caution, the mopar splash guards will rub through your paint in a hurry. I bought some heavy duty clear tape in the home weather stripping section at Ace to put behind them and protect the paint. It's been a year and it's held up good so far.

I have the Mopar molded splash guards. They call for drilling one hole into the fender. However, I was able to mount mine without drilling this hole. It really isn't necessary.

Husky liners moulded flaps use existing screws, no drilling. The Mopars require adding an additional screw.

Just to follow up on this. The factory accessory molded splash guards or mud flaps for the front may NOT fit on a 2013 RAM with the factory step bars. The factory step bars have a black plastic cap that says RAM on it. This cap sticks out about 1/2-3/4 of an inch, and prevents the front splash guards from fitting. My window sticker lists chrome tubular side steps. Perhaps other step bars work. Off to the dealer to try and return them!

Damn, I wish I read this earlier. I bought the molded guards yesterday and they definitely don't fit with my step bars. The parts guy at the counter only asked if I had fender flares, not side steps. I guess I will see if they can exchange them for the rubber set.

Do you have the wheel to wheel side steps? Or just cab length? If you have the cab length ones is it possible to swap the right with the left? It would move the side step back about 4". I was told by my dealer that there is no adjustment, they are mounted ate the factory. I was looking at a quad cab at the dealer and those side steps where back about 4" from the wheel well.

I have been debating on trying this but don't know how the truck would look. I have a crew cab and was going to measure the length of my side steps and compare them to the quad cab ones when I head back to the dealer.

So did they change the steps on 2013 or the location where they mount on the new frame? This is strange.

I have the cab length steps, they were put on by the dealer and there is no adjustment. I just got back form Easter dinner so don't feel like crawling around to look at them. But I will take a look and reply back tomorrow. I am probably going to just swap for the rubber ones but I will still measure and see if there is a difference in the mounting on the steps. Thanks for the info!

With my side steps you can't switch sides or rotate them to have the molded flaps fit. So off to the dealer to I go for the rubber flaps.

My steps were put on at the factory. Mine have four screws that fasten to the bracket equally spaced so it looks like I would be able to swap mine. Just don't know how it would look.

If I swapped them, the steps would look more central to the truck between the wheels. I will have to swap them and see.

Anyone with the molded flaps, please chime in: I was looking at an 11 Ram today with the molded flaps and yes you could see where they where rubbing the paint off, I didn't look to see if he had the extra screw in where you have to drill it, don't know if that would help or not, but what are you guys putting behind your flaps so the don't rub?

Thanks
