clearly, golf ,gambling and girls cleaned me out years ago........

Thanks. The bike is pretty much done. The truck, not so much.
Clearly bikes, guns, and trucks are not the hobbies to have if you want to save money.

You remember the wine women and song, the other stuff not so much

So have had a number of bikes over the years:

79 XS740 Special (destroyed by a 16 year old who though it was ok to turn in front of one head light, told that to a CHP motor officer, wondered why it was his fault)
81 CX500 Deluxe (brought in CA for $800 in 1987 sold in the UK after 4 years of riding all over the UK and Northern Europe for 1200 English Pounds which was $3000 at the time)
82 GS650G (brought in a box for $200, put back together and driven 1994 till being given away in 2010)
99 ZG1000 Concours (promotion present used heavily from 2003 to 2014 and traded for my Ultra Classic)
2000 Harley FXDX (Super Glide Sport, destroyed by a driver who couldn't see my headlight on a dark country road right in front of her, that broke my ankle)

2005 Buell Lighting City X (Sanity from my in laws when I brought it and my other bikes were half a country away, daily ride before COVID19)

2005 Harley Ultra Classic (the long distance hauler for my wife and I)

IMG_1770.JPG

2005 Harley FXDXI Super Glide Sport (return from 6 months in Afghanistan present and replacement for the 2000 FXDX)

Normally a 20K a year rider, but my wreck in 2018, deployment in 2019, and this years COVID mess will hold me to about 10K a year average since I have been living in Texas.
