Thinking about this for the tailgate on my Power Wagon. Anyone have experience with this or constructive thoughts? Seems popular with the Toyota crowd.

For Dodge Ram (2019- 2020). The Mountain Hatch is an overlay that screws down to your tailgate to give you a much flatter surface. Now your tailgate can serve as table whether tailgating, camping or if you just want to set that hot cocoa down. This product is a heavy-duty FDA approved 1/2 inch plastic with UV inhibitors. Like a cutting board, it is also food safe. The best part is The Mountain Hatch is made right here in the USA. Your tailgate will never be the same

Looks like a cool idea, made in the USA is a plus but for 259.00 and up to 3 months to get the product, I would think heading to the home store and making your own would be better. Just my 2 cents.

Same here, good idea. Cost too much.
I paid .25 a lb for scrap steel today.

I can see issues when unloading heavy objects. Some of us still use our trucks as trucks right.

$284 (shipped) for something that will snag whatever I try to take out of the bed. NOPE! Jell my clutso ass probably fall out the bed from tripping on it.

Forgot to add, i like the built in cup holders on my tail gate. Place to keep loose screws and such. Also makes a good water bowl for the doggie.

I like the concept but don't want to add 1/2 inch to the height of the tailgate. And the cost of the thing is too high.
