I have a 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 V8 Hemi. I remove muffler for a better sound. When I rev the engine the RPM's goes up but very slowly comes back down. So when I go to rev the engine I really can't its just runs a high rev and doesn't come back down. Is this normal for not having a muffler?

It could be the computer confused at the lack of back pressure. Mine idles slightly different, but I am a 4th gen early model.

Yes, most likely due to minimal back pressure. Best bet is a performance muffler that will give you the sound you want.

its the emissions controls built into the PCM. very normal for any modern throttle by wire system. use whatever muffler or straight pipe you desire.
