Bringing my mod back up for some questions.

Does anyone with the Mufflex kits have issues with the 3" clamp at the front of the muffler not holding?

I got mine absolutely as tight as I can get it and its still loose enough that over time it slips out. Also it leaks out of that one and the 2 2.5" clamps on the otherside. Water drips out of all 3.

Should I just get it welded or get the stupid U clamps or find better Band clamps? Where could I find better band clamps?

Prolly be cheaper to get them welded than it would to buy new clamps. I don't have a problem with mine leaking or coming loose, neither does my buddy King. Have you just tried reseating the clamps and pipes, maybe something wasn't aligned right?

it was pushed all the way to the pin on the pipe on all 3 fittings. Everything was pushed to the front of the truck before tightened. I've been moving the 3" clamp to all different positions and the pipes still separate. I did my oil change yesterday and i went to check it and it was almost separated.

Damn, that's ******! I guess I would say just get it welded then. Wont come loose or leak then. I welded my last trucks exhaust. From the rear tips all the way to the headers. Never had a leak or a problem.

yeah. I don't think I'll ever go back to stock. I hope it will last as long as I have the truck.

ahh ok lol

well before i go permanent i found in advance auto they had a little different but was still band style. I was able to tighten it really tight and seems to be holding in place. All 3 do leak water still but the pipes are not moving....for now.

welcome to the mufflex kit club.:party36: Only way to get this right is to have it welded.

Lol thanks. I'll see how it goes. If it separates again. It's getting welded and it's done with lol
