Any comments on fitment and quality differences between the 2? Being from canada saving 100$ sounds good but not if fit and finish is worse, i noticed the piping on the dual outlet mufflex has an offset on both pipes whereas the other one only has offset on one pipe? There was a remark about the hottexhaust kit causing the tips to be farther back, is this the case with all of them?

The Mufflex solution has piping welded on to be application specific.
the Hottexhaust is genuine Magnaflow parts but are generic, non-specific to any application.
You can clamp the Mufflex piece in by yourself in your driveway easily (*although at least tack-welding it in place is strongly recommended).
The Magnaflow muffler will not fit without the aid of adapters and some additional pipe (so it needs to be welded!) as any 14/18/22" muffler is significantly shorter than our massive stock muffler.

I tried clamping my Magnaflow muffler on, and the pass. side fell clean off a week later, damaging the tip and then baking the e-brake cable. Not saying this will happen every time, but welding is secure.

That was me, all you have to do is go on Utube and focus on the dual Ram exhaust tips on the trucks with the Mufflex and all I have to say is a few are really -ucked up definitely not like the factory. I ordered a DOD14M (too much drone and annoying) and then a DOD18M and both put next to my factory muffler, the ONE ONLY problem was both were approx 1 1/4" longer meaning that the final assembly of the tip's stuck out that much further. (THERE BENDS ARE PERFECT).They DO NOT take in consideration of the factory outside exhaust pipe stops that are welded on for factory exhaust pipe assembly and alignment. Only one that does this is unfortunately the Flowmaster HD50 muffler specifically for our trucks. ; they've notched out the proper depth and location on all three pipe locations like our factory muffler, take a close up look at a picture and you'll see what I'm trying to say. Having said all this the magnaflow DOD18M sounds awesome especially waaay deep with adding 5"X12" exhaust tip's.

Use code F62MPC38EX for a 26% savings on hottexhaust. The shipping is a bit slow and he rarely answers the phone but for around $250.00 at your door is a good deal. tdot performance for the HD50 Flowmaster kit is a crazy $ 390.00 with NO dealing and I'm pretty sure the Maggy's sound better than the 50 series, now if your talking about the Flowmaster super44 that's a different story.

No problems with my Mufflex DODM80.
Fit perfectly, easy install, and the tips line up just like stock.

Well let's hope they can't **** up a few pieces of pipe and charge over $200.00 How do you like the sound of that anyway? My neighbour did the straight pipe thing to his 2013 Hemi and it sounded like a gurgly motorboat.

Yeah there's no way I would have paid full price. Got it for $100 which is what the exhaust shop told me they'd do it for. But id rather have bolt in, especially on a brand new truck.
It sounds great. Not so good in 4-cylinder mode though.
