@ramportin1 still never got that floor plan yet ;)
So sorry it took so long. This is the original floor plan for the downstairs. We reversed the plan as well as extended many walls, knocked a few walls out and opened some things upf7ea01260a60b247c69928c5328f1c04.jpg

It is a 80,000 BTU hot dawg heater lol that name kills me. Its good for heating 2,000 sq ft and mines right at 1,728 sq ft. I looked it up online and it's got solid reviews down the board so should be good

Well I keep being told I'm going to regret not having a separate outbuilding for my compressor, hopefully not but we'll see. I didnt think it was worth the expense kuz I don't see myself using the compressor a whole lot. But we'll see

How heavy is the heater? I would sister those 2x6's it is hanging on. Over time they might start bowing.

My garage heater is 45,000 BTU (I think) and I hung it from the ceiling joists using 4x4's just so it didn't sag over time.

I don't use my compressor too much and it doesn't bother me in the garage. You could always build a cover and insulate it to cut the noise down the road.

Thanks for the tip grizz.
I just realized the heater is pointed directly at one of my lights and only about 3 feet away lol so I'll have them reposition it a bit and reinforce

Nothing new with the shop, nobody has been out to do anything since the heater hanging, super frustrating. But we got the asphalt for our driveway poured so it kinda involves the shop lol came out nice, I like the look of the concrete borders with the asphalt. My wife did that364125edfb5fbf0184bcedef4c002e91.jpg6353764346c4b529cef115c662f619bd.jpg

EDIT: I guess I should mention we are quite frustrated they did not level the drive out with the concrete garage pad so right after the drain there is a big hump as you can see. My wife is fighting that battle and shes much meaner than I am lol

O and to answer the insulation question that someone asked. The ceiling is going to be spray foamed and the walls are not decided yet because I am not sure if we are going to finish (drywall) all walls yet or just one wall or none. Still waiting for the bid on that

Having a tough time with picking the color of stain for my shop slab before they put the coating on, these are the options. Stuck between the cona brown or the leather one. I'm thinking the cona brown is what I'll go with, its darker and will help hide dirt and what not that gets tracked in from dirtbikes 32978a8086330124fa2ead2865ca882c.jpg

darker colors might help find shiny objects you drop when working on stuff.

Nice build so far.

Put the compressor in the rafters, assuming you are putting in a ceiling. Less noise and more floor space.

Ok so supposedly everything should be happening within the next two weeks, my wife is having her guys get all the insulation done this weekend and it will be spray foam for the ceiling along with R-38 bats for the walls with white FSK paper over all of it along with white FSK tape on all seams and R-MAX rigid foam board for the roll ups, should do pretty good job at holding in heat. Also picked up my lights this weekend and those are supposed to be done by the weekend but we'll see. Heres the lights I'm using, I got 6 of these for a total of 180,000 lumens [emoji41]. I've seen these lights in person already hung 15' off ground and loved them so that's why I got these ones. Also a little light for outside

Nice man!! Question tho, isnt r-38 like 12in thick? How you putting that in your wall? Looking forward to seeing how those lights work. I started a thread on my shed, still in the planning and funding stage. Cant wait to have what you have
