I've had over 5k in my bed on a 200mile trip not one issue. Also I have a big goose neck trailer last trip when I went across the scale trailer and load *** 18,875, trailer empty is 6500lbs. I towed that 400miles and it would never cross my mind to do any of it again.
Yeah but you are probably set up right and have the load distributed right.

Yeah trailer is loaded really well but axels are way back I have a lot of pin weight even empty. Next time I go across a scale empty I'll find out lol. The metal coils on the other hand are just bricks in the bed lol no distributing that.

Having a 200 mile trip with that load is a lot different than being way overloaded for 25k plus miles.....LOL.

Wow, glad we used a long bed dually for our camper. I never liked the campers that hang past the bed like that. If you're loaded heavy in the rear of the camper, well, physics wins every time. Our camper was 'only' about 4K wet and loaded. I've looked at specs of some of those huge truck campers with slides and all that, the loaded weight of some might be 6K+. You definitely have to load properly.
