Finally. Will get to install this week hopefully. Been busy so haven’t had any fun time lately.

edit: bad news. They sent me the bent track bar. I emailed Clayton to find out why. I spoke with someone before ordering to make sure I would be getting the straight bar as it was for my ram and they had told me no worries. They were making straight bars specifically for the ram trucks.

Had some fun. Tried out a new harbor freight ratcheting breaker bar. Needless to say it started out well. Loosened 8 bolts and Tightened 6 to as tight as physically possible. Broke on the 7th. I weigh 178lbs and bounced on the bar. Granted it was a 3/8” and not a 1/2” breaker bar. Damn these Clayton bars are heavy. Or should I say wow those stock bars are extremely light.

Who needs a track bar anyways... kidding. However, this thing is beastly. Just like the rear control arms. Super happy. Turned the lower control arms 1 turn out from stock and the track bar 2 turns out from stock to realign the axle.

Harbor freights stuff doesn't like a lot of pressure. Have you seen their new Icon series? I was thinking about grabbing a ratchet and seeing if it was worth the 40 bucks lol.

I have. It’s more expensive than husky. Lol. I have harbor freight sockets that aren’t bad. I’ll only try certain things from them.

I have two 1/2" breaker bars from them and so far so good. I also managed to break one of their 3/8's lol. I buy them in pairs cause i leave one of them in each car. i only use the 3/8 for the stuff when i don't want to fight them bolts with with a regular ratchet and that 3/8 fits in a lot of places. case in point i use the 3/8 to loosen the front UCA's. I used the 25" 1/2 bars to tighten the Claytons and later i bought a 3/4 torque wrench for HF as well that i used to make sure they were tight. i put the 190lbs on the bolts so those biatches aint going no where :)

Manifolds out. No broken bolts. Woohoo. Damn what a pain though. Had to cut some of the stock bolts to separate the y pipe out though because they were seized. I never want to do this again. At least on this truck. I know I’ll end up doing it again on another vehicle though. Hardest part so far was the dang o2 sensors. Unplugging them and then removing them from the stock y pipe. Used a o2 socket and that didn’t work. Used an open end box wrench and a 3lb sledge hammer as persuasion.

The exhaust is officially back together. Wow. Can I just say that the headers did not add as much volume as I was expecting. I’m pretty happy about that. I’ll get a video another time. I am tired. Did the whole job basically by myself. Had the fiancée handing me parts at one point.

Well. I have been a busy person this last month. Lots of projects in the house and preparing for a wedding next year so money is very limited. Still in the process of welding together my truck steps as I get time which is very limited lately. On top of that I got an email from shock surplus that the bilstein 6112s for the 4th gen ram 1500s are back in stock. Anyone want to donate 800$ to me? :help: Lol

Can you order the 6112s without springs to use the Eibach's you already have? Is that any cheaper? lol

The 6112 use a completely different style spring size. 16” long and 550lb rate. I’m actually going to look into ordering some 600lb springs for them to up my weight capacity in the future because I have a lot of extra weight on my truck. Around 150-200lbs just on the front plus custom steps I’m building and possibly a bed rack and roof tent

Finally had some free time to work on my steps. Super busy lately. Work has been nonstop. No complaints about that since more money means more projects. Fiancée got a full time teacher position as well so that’s a huge promotion for her. No more teachers aid. Looking at paying off this beast next year and trading her car on a rav4 possibly. All that’s left is butt caps and the cab reinforcement pieces then have the steps blasted and coated. Had 350lbs bouncing on the steps and had near 0 deflection.41351BB8-9E8F-4498-ABFD-8FC5E5ED14D7.jpeg

Both sides are done now. Wish I had done wheel to wheel now. Added some extra reinforcement tubes at the ends between the main rail and the step bar and added skid tape for now till I can find tread plate. May have to just order a sheet from my local metal distributor.
