I've noticed that my 5th gen exhaust is much louder than the exhaust was in my 4th gen. Both are/were stock. I backed both trucks up the same way in the same place in my driveway but when I remote start this truck it's a lot louder than my 4th gen was. I'm not complaining, I love it but I just thought it was interesting.

Has anyone else noticed this when you moved from a 4th to a 5th gen?

From what I've researched, for some reason I have the GT resonators on my truck but the stock muffler. I'm thinking that's why it's louder. Also there is another guy on the other Ram forum I belong to with the same numbers on his '22 and he noticed that his Ram is louder than one of his friends so this isn't just me. I wonder if supply chain issues caused then to use a different resonator?

Hmmmmm, could be........... MY 19 sounds just stock, not any louder than other RAMS I have had with the 5.7L, but since BOIRD is half deaf from Acft engines, might just be me. HECK, be happy U have them, more Vrooooooom for the buck, LOL. U could put bigger Craven tips on the exhaust 3" to 5" and have even more Vrooooooooom, lol.

I looked at his signature and his build date is very simular to mine. His is 8/22 and mine is 9/22.

Tips can have a marked effect on sound. My 4” muffler shop chrome specials were louder than the 5” Corsa tips I just had welded on. No change to any other part of the exhaust. I only changed the tips.

My 2021 is definitely louder than my 2014. I find it perfect for my use. It really sounds healthy pulling a high mountain pass with the TT behind it.

I agree, just got my 22 Ram 1500 2 days ago. Remote start up it’s got a nicer growl than my 4th gen did. I got under the truck and the same numbers you posted are on my resonator. My build date is 10/22
