Hey guys. I went to a shop to get pricing on a level and wheels and tires after I went through these forums.

Basically I was pretty set on some Rancho Quicklifts to do the level at 2.8 and was going to go with 20x10 -12 offset Fuel Lethals and 35x12.5 Nittos. The shop told me a few things:

The 2.8 wouldnt clear my wheels and tires. And that the Rancho QL would be a waste due to my lower mileage 28K. He also said the ranchos would be 1K installed as well.

He recommended a 2.5 level and that I could only fit 20x9 with 0 offset and 33in tires. He said my wheels would stick out still with the zero. This kinds contradicts a few posts here already, but some posts don't mention exact wheel offsets to fit the bigger tires.

Should I go fort he Rancho QL and 35s with the 20" fuels at -12 or is he right? Would zero offestr eally give me enough sticking out to warrant the pocket fendersot looking weird? I'm so confused right now.

My 3rd option was just to do the R QL at 2.8, get 20x10 -12 offset but with only the 33" tires. Would the -12 offset with the smaller tires fitt he level? Tires would be 305/55/20 or 33x12.5/20. Either way, I want a level and the wide wheels to get that deep lip. Comes down to the offset and tires but don't know who is right. Thoughts?

These are the Lethals btw. I think its one of their newer wheels. Anza was the next choice.

I had a 2.5 Level spacer, with 17x9 rims with -5.4mm offset, Running Toyo MT's 35x12.5 with no issues. (have since lifted more)

-12mm offset will make them stick out slightly farther then mine did and then your 1 inch wider of a rim.

I can see maybe slight rubbing issues when turning, you might catch the edge of the tire on the fender.

Others with a closer setup to yours will chime in. I had no issues with my setup as mentioned above.

1,000 bucks, wtf. Go get the bilsteins and put them in yourself for 300 total cost. Any tire shop would only charge 25 bucks per shock as well, as long as you bought them there. Check this out, spacer, versus pre-load, versus leveling shock. Of course you only need them in the front.

As for your wide tire, if it rubs then deal with it with a spacer. No it wont look weird. the tire shop is being overly cautious and/or trying to up sell you. I'm sure they hate putting levels on trucks, they make no money doing so. A level should never be more then an hour labor charge, whereas a 4 inch lift will be 4 hours plus a larger margin on the lift itself. I know it is shocking, but they are in business to make money, not sell you the low end stuff. My coil spacer level was under 200 bucks installed. Anyone who would pay 1k for a level is a sucker.

I'm glad you asked for a second opinion, don't go back to the shop unless you are going up 4 or more. Any chain tire shop should help you level that for 350 max cost and less if you went with coil spacer, I got mine done at les shuab the local one is great. I use them for everything, they helped with my bumper install (they hooked up all the lighting), level, not to mention good deals on tires and rims as well.

I have been reading posts and searching the forums non-stop trying to make decisions. I went with the Bil 5100's, and let me tell you I am impressed at the ride quality. cost me $220 and did them in my garage. I set them at the max setting of 2.8.

For some additional lift last weekend I did the Zone 1.5 Body lift. Again did them in my garage $140

I also wanted a deeper lip so I ordered fuels 20x10 -12. Searching for the correct tires was tough the Nitto measure a lot wider than the Toyo. I went with a Toyo OC MT 315/60/20 Why 315/60 you ask? It measures as a true 35x12.50 tire. The Toyo 35/12.50/20 actually measures a half inch wider than the 315/60

My wheels and tires should be here in a couple days. I have BW Pocket flares sitting in the garage, so just wating on the wheels and tires to come in.

Again it all depends on the look your going for, some like a wide tire, stuffed wheel well, tall tires, etc.

Thanks guys. I'll defintley do the Rancho QL or the BL 5100s in my garage. They quoted me 450 to install a level (strut spacer).

Would just now need to see if anyone here has done a 33 or 35in tire combo with a 2.5 or similar level on a -12 offset 20x10 wheel. Anyone?

I'm not passing the buck here (others will chime in also) But search the crap out of the forum, and Google images.

Just remember that even after installing the BL or RQ or spacer you WILL need an alignment.

Yep thanks. Yeah tried the search and been looking at photos quite a bit. Not too many folks have all the info together like wheel offset and size tires with level height. So far, it seems it comes down to the offset. All the ones I have seen who say they have had no issues withs tock height or a 2.5 level don't quite mentiont he offset wheen or ift hey had 20x9s or 10s. Appreciate alll the input though.

Boomer how low was the install for the zone 1.5 BL? Did you just use stands and floor jack? ALso did it come with all brackets for the bumpers? What did you do about raising the exhaust?

You won't need an alignment after a body lift. I'd recommend it with nee size tires though.

I hate when shops recommend 33" tires. That's the factory size. Do none of the places speak metric?
