Before I share my issue here are some specs.
Purchased October 2010. No issues until May 2016.
4.7L Engine
4 inch lift
37 inch Tires
Purchased like this, no issues.
Long story short. Water pump went out on the way home from camping. Overheated, bad. Got it home finally. Head gaskets blown. Got it fixed or what I thought was fixed and it's never been the same.
Will not accelerate past about 75 or 4000 rpms when on the high way. Check emgine light will flash about 10 times and it will drive normal. Top speed will be about 80 with no power beyond.
I have had compression tests done, tranny checked, all seems to be fine.
I'm far from an expert so I need some help figuring this out?
Is it not geared right for my tires? Is my engine not tuned right because it's been torn apart?
Check engine light comes and goes when it feels like it.
