Only thing you can really do is compare prices in your area if your not willing to travel. Im in ohio and have my '14 CCSB express with 80k priced at 20,500 obo. Its got some upgrades and new tires. I feel like its priced decent but there is a lot of these trucks out there to chose from so selling isnt super quick.

For less than that I bought a used 2011 Laramie. Look around if you’re buying used. I found my truck almost 4 hours away from home.

Here's the Kennersville, NC Ram website. As suggested previously, look over their inventory and decide if you want to pay $23K foe a 13. At least look at the 14 and newer to get the 8 speed auto and 100,000 mile plugs. The 13 will need plugs every 30K or so at a few hundred dollar a pop. They claim to ship it free for a number of miles.

300 miles for free, 3.50$ a mile after that

Am I reading correct when I read 2013 express?? I feel like for that price you've listed, you can dang there get a brand new express for either the same price or real real close to that. Are you trading anything in?
Yes I bought a brand new 2017 Express quad cab 4x4 with 5.7, 8 sp auto, trailer package and 20" wheels for $25100 six weeks ago at an AutoNation dealer.

No way is that a good price!

Difficult getting advice like this on the internet. Although it’s slight easier to buy a car due to the internet, there are still so many variables.

What time of year, what time of the month, dealer and local dealer stock, new models or New Years coming out, different engines or tranny’s coming out, what part of the country, so forth and so forth.

After I wrecked my truck, I spent 2 months searching a 300 mile radius for a truck that had everything I wanted, got a good deal based on the 100’s of trucks I looked at. 2014 ram express 4x4 QC, 5.7, 8spd Tran, tow package, chrome sport wheels, and 26k miles for $26k. I couldn’t find a comparable truck within 2 grand. I actually found the truck while eating lunch after getting numbers on another truck.

So as for advice, do your research, be patient, buy what you want (no regrets), and search within the radius in which you want to search. Based on everything you find, go with what you think is the best deal.

Or come down here and buy mine...ha.

Very true. Me, I think I got lucky. I found exactly what I wanted in one day of looking. I went out looking for a tow vehicle for my new trailer with a $25k budget, so I was looking at used half ton trucks at all the dealers.

When I got to the Ram dealer I found exactly the right truck (1500 with 5.7, 8 sp, 3.92 tow package, chrome wheels) with 492 miles new. The top line price was $42900 but they were asking $27200 when I took it for a test drive. AutoNation is a no haggle dealer. They set the price, you buy it. I very intentionally didn’t buy on Saturday. Never buy on the first day of looking! They did put a 24 hour “hold” on it for me.

I spent the evening looking all over the Internet and found no better price for what I wanted. I think they wanted it gone, plain and simple. It was the last 2017 on the lot in April 2018. The only quad cab, in an area where everyone wants a crew cab. An Express when many people want the higher end trucks. 2019s were on the way. 492 miles of test drives and probably dealer use, and not sold yet.

They sent me an email late Saturday evening dropping it to $25600, but I didn’t see or reply to that. They sent me another early Sunday dropping it to $25100. I was fully prepared to buy it at $27200 so when I finally read those mails Sunday mid day I was very happy about it!
