2011 Ram 1500 SLT, 4.7 liter
Let me first say that I am nowhere near being a mechanic.
I changed the battery last weekend when the previous one died. The next morning the truck would not start. I came back in the evening and it started right up. Next morning I go out to leave for work and the truck won't start. Each time it will turn over but not crank. Fuel pump is good and starter is turning the engine over.
The third day I shifted to neutral first and it started right up. I put it in park and it started again but the RPMs were extremely weak and it died after a few seconds. After that I couldn't get it to start again. Came out the next morning and it wouldn't start in park or neutral. I turn the key to the on position and move the gear shifter through all the gears and then back to neutral before I try to start every time.
I am thinking the neutral safety switch but wanted to get some other opinions. Thanks.
