I have a 17 ram with bills at 2.8 front and 1 in spacer rear. Got a good deal on 20x12-44 moto metal wheels with 33x12.50 mt tires.
I don't like the tires at all. What is the lightest AT tire with the smoothest ride? If I can't find anything I might need to go with a street tire.
99%driving is on highway but I like the AT look better.

*Update* Im getting rid of the 33x12 mud tires 66lbs and going with 305/50 toyo at2 51lbs

I had Falken Rocky Mountains which are the same as the Wildpeak but are exclusive to Discount Tire and they wore way too fast. I now have BFG A/T KO2s and they are nice. Those and Nitto Terra Grapplers seem to get high marks with the BFGs being the lighter of the two. Also check out Cooper all-terrains.

The problem with AT tires is that they're just okay at highway and just okay at off road. If you're 99% highway, Michelin LTX m/s.

I know some people think AT tires for that "just in case I need it" factor, but odds are your "just in case" moment is going to happen on the road at 100km/h. Then you'll be happy you have the best tires for the job.

Michelin's all the way

Gotta agree with CrispyBacon all the way, I've tried several tires on Gen 4 Rams (I've owned 2 now, both son and son in law own 1) and the Good Year SRA's are just that goo for a year. All though provide a good ride (not Great) they don't have any stemina in the long run and that comes with me having them rotated and balancing at every oil change. Tried Firestone, and BF Goodrich, but the tire that I seem to have the best luck with is Michelin's (weather LX, AT or MT) you can't go wrong. And no I'm not a spokes person, but I do run alot of Michelin Tires on alot of stuff, from my RV's to Trucks and Passenger Cars. Ultimately you have to choose, but do a review on tires both Goodyear and Michelin's and check out the tire charts and mileage warranty and see for yourself.

Had the 35" AT Falken wildpeaks, 33" baja mtz and now have 315/70 17 duratracs. I put about 60,000 kms on the wildpeaks and there at about 50%, but after the wear a bit they were crap in snow or rain. The mickeys were just loud and rough, but these duratracs man they are awesome. Quiet, and I mean you can whisper in the truck now and people can hear you on the highway. Good in rain, never tried snow yet but heard good reviews.

I had a set of BFG A/T KO2s put on my wife's 2012 a few months back, they replaced Nitto Trail Grapplers. I don't know how they compare as far as weight but the ride quality was night and day and the BFGs are much quieter as well.

Toyo AT2's are also worth a look, not light but they ride smooth and are great off road

What brand of MT odds you have and what don't you like about them?

As far as an AT tire, around here bfg's are everywhere. I've had them and they're a great tire no doubt, but I like to buck the trend and try something different. Duratrac and copper at3 seem pretty solid choices imo

I like hankook dynapro atm for stock size. They ride smooth, no road noice, and weigh 41 pounds. If you want a bit bigger, nitto terra grappler xl in 305/55/20. I think they weight 51 pounds/piece.

Some Chinese co. linglong the tire is crosswind mt. Heavy as hell and the rear vibrates pretty bad at 60-70 mph
